THE GOSPEL

The Gospel is the good news of Jesus Christ, who He is and what He has done. Jesus, the eternal Son of God, took on flesh and was born into the world He created. He lived a perfect, sinless life under God’s law, something no one else has done.

Though He was without sin, He went to the cross where He willingly died in the place of sinners, bearing the punishment that sin deserves. God treated Him as if He had lived our sinful lives, so that all who trust in Him would be counted righteous before God.

Three days later, He rose from the dead, proving that sin and death had been defeated and that His work was complete. Because of this, forgiveness and new life are offered to all who repent of their sin and place their faith in Christ alone.

Through Him, we are not only forgiven, but brought into a right relationship with God as His children. This is the hope of the gospel, that sinners can be saved, restored, and made new through Jesus Christ.
